Professional Development

Emily Gurwitz is available for professional development for band directors. The following topics are available for professional development:

• Region/all-state band preparation (for flute or any instruments)
• Block Scheduling
• Flute 101
• UIL concert and sight reading preparation
• Other presentations can be created upon request

Professional Development can be 1-6 hours in length. For the 6 hour presentation, the first half of the day consists of a PowerPoint presentation and the 2nd half will be a hands on approach. (The directors will play on their primary instruments in a band or play flute in the flute 101 class.)

Handouts, PDFs, and other information will be provided at the conclusion of the professional development.
